As we approach Father's Day, it makes me think about all the men out there and their health. I don't know about you, but most of the men I know have no desire to go get annual check-ups which research has proven. In fact, men are 31% less likely to visit the doctor within the past year.
That's why National Men's Health Week (June 14th-20th) is so important to talk about with the men in your life. Let them know that they need to get regular annual check-ups and help to remind them by visiting www.dadtothedoc.org and sending them the e-card that's on the front page. There is also a great quiz that you can have them take with some great facts about health and screenings for certain diseases. I learned a few things, too! You can find out more information about general men's health here. Sit down with your husband, father or grandfather and look through some of the information to be more informed about health.
